Julia Mitchell of the Women's Cross Country Team Earns 2017 NCAA Division III All-Academic Recognition

Julia Mitchell was one of six members of the women's cross country team to earn 2017 NCAA Division III All-Academic Recognition. To receive this prestigious accolade, student-athletes must have recorded a GPA of 3.30 or higher during the fall semester, and placed in the top-25 percent at their respective regional championship meet.

The women's cross country team as a whole, after compiling an exceptional 3.70 GPA during the fall semester, also earned 2017 NCAA Division III All-Academic Team honors.

One prerequisite for this honor was competing and compiling a team score at an NCAA Regional meet, and the other requirement was maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.10 on a 4.0 scale during the fall semester. The Cardinals finished ninth overall with a team score of 288 at the New England Regional Championship on Nov. 11 in Gorham, Maine.
