Jordan Bonner Spearheaded Hurricane Harvey Relief Efforts

Jordan Bonner '19, a Houston native, spearheaded a fundraiser for Hurricane Harvey relief. He organized donation boxes outside the Freeman Athletic Center to collect items such as gently used clothes, diapers, wipes, and other essentials. He also raised funds for victims of the hurricane through the KIPP charter school in Houston that he attended as a child.

Although months have passed since the hurricane, Bonner wanted to make sure that the victims of the hurricane didn't feel forgotten.

"It was great to see that people actually cared," he said. "And to see that we're willing to give to a cause that is beyond ourselves was really touching."
