Huan Li Attends Society for Ethnomusicology Annual Meeting

Huan Li was one of several Wesleyan students and recent alumni to attend the 62nd Annual Meeting for the Society for Ethnomusicology, Oct. 26-29 in Denver, Colo. Founded in 1955, the Society for Ethnomusicology is a global, interdisciplinary network of individuals and institutions engaged in the study of music across all cultural contexts and historical periods.

Huan Li, a PhD candidate in Ethnomusicology, presented her paper, “Roses and Thorns: Mass Media, Chinese Cultural Market, and Qinshi’s Creativity in Reform China.”
